ABSTRACT: This study Investigated the Benefits of Early Childhood Education on Peacebuilding Initiatives. The objectives of this study were to: (1) investigate the benefits of early childhood education (ECE) programs in promoting peacebuilding initiatives among young children, (2) assess the effectiveness of peace education activities in teaching conflict resolution and empathy skills, and (3) determine the long-term impacts of peacebuilding education on social cohesion and conflict prevention. A survey research design was employed to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and community leaders about their experiences with peacebuilding education in ECE settings. A sample size of 170 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and peacebuilding advocates, was selected using purposive sampling to include representation from diverse communities in Sokoto State, Nigeria. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers known for their commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence and social justice. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly contributed to children's understanding of conflict resolution, empathy, and peaceful communication, promoting a culture of tolerance and cooperation. It is recommended that early childhood education centers continue to prioritize peacebuilding education, integrate peace education into their curricula, and collaborate with local peacebuilding organizations to create peaceful learning environments and promote sustainable peace initiatives.
